Daily Pattern Drill: forcing the frames you don't use into your mouth

Not phrasal verbs — the sentence frames natives use without thinking ('as long as ___', 'I should have + p.p.', 'Have you ever…?'). A daily production drill: see the frame + a meaning, say the English out loud, check a model, mark it, repeat — with a day streak so it actually happens every day.

The request was specific and emotional: not phrasal verbs — the patterns. The frames a native uses like breathing — as long as ___, I should have + p.p., question forms like Have you ever…? and What if…? — where the structure stays fixed and you just swap the words inside. And the demand: drill them hard, every single day, until they're automatic.

So: a Pattern Drill.

The unit is a frame, grouped by category — Questions, Modals & regret, Conditionals, Reactions, Opinions. Each frame carries a few real items: a Korean cue (the meaning to express) and a natural English model. The loop is built for production, not recognition:

  1. You see the frame (I should have ___) and a Korean cue (the meaning).
  2. You say the full English out loud — that's the rep.
  3. Reveal a model answer, self-mark Got it / Again, next.

Same frame, new words, fast — the classic substitution drill, which is exactly how you make a pattern automatic. The Korean is only the prompt; the answer is always English. Self-marking (not auto-grading) because real production has many right answers — the model is one good one, your ear is the judge.

The piece that makes "every day" real: a daily rep counter + a day streak in localStorage, that advances when you practice on a new day and continues if you practiced yesterday. You see 🔥 3-day streak · 18 today. Streaks are the cheapest, most honest habit mechanic there is.

v1 is curated — I wrote the patterns (real, idiomatic, nothing faked). The natural next step is mining patterns from the user's own clips, the same way the prepositions hub does: the frames you actually hear in the dev talks you watch become the frames you drill. Frontend-only for now; no backend needed to start swinging.
